How to Apply

To apply for admission to the M.A. Program in Anthropology, follow these two steps:

STEP 1: Apply to the Graduate School
Follow instructions for filing an application online at the Graduate School’s website.

After completing the online application, send 1) official transcripts from all institutions from which you have received a degree, and 2) official GRE scores, to:

STEP 2: Upload materials to the on-line application
You will need 3 letters of recommendation – provide the names of three letter writers and contact information and they will receive a prompt to upload their letters online.

You also need a statement of purpose, or letter telling us what you want to study and why you want to study with us. Upload any additional materials to the on-line application and contact the Anthropology Graduate Program Coordinator with any questions:

To ensure consideration for a departmental assistantship, complete your application by March 1st.

Department decisions are made after the graduate school application (including GRE scores and transcripts) is complete.
