How to Apply

To apply for admission to the M.A. Program in Anthropology, follow these two steps:

STEP 1: Apply to the Graduate School
Follow instructions for filing an application online at the Graduate School’s website.

After completing the online application, send 1) official transcripts from all institutions from which you have received a degree, and 2) official GRE scores, to:

STEP 2: Upload materials to the on-line application
For the on-line application, each applicant should provide the names of at least three people who can write letters of recommendation on your behalf. The letter writers will receive a prompt from the on-line system through which they can upload their letters. In addition, applicants should upload a statement of purpose describing their interests in the department and possible thesis projects. Upload any additional materials to the on-line application. To insure consideration for a departmental assistantship, applications must be complete by March 1st. Department decisions can only be made after the graduate school application (including GRE scores and transcripts) is complete.
