Anthropology
The M.A. in Anthropology includes 30 hours of coursework and a Master’s thesis. First-year graduate studies begin with a sequence of courses that offer a four-field approach to anthropology, including cultural and linguistic anthropology, archaeology, and bioanthropology. Students complete comprehensive exams at the end of their first year and begin research for a thesis project. In year two, students may take additional courses to build their CVs as they work closely with their thesis advisor to complete a thesis based on original research. We offer financial and research support and training for our students throughout the two-year MA program.
