Kate M. Centellas, Croft Associate Professor of Anthropology & International Studies, is featured on the newest episode of National Geographic’s The Story of Us With Morgan Freeman. Kate Centellas travelled to Bolivia with a film crew for National Geographic to document and understand tinku, a ritualized form of inter-communal violence practiced in some Bolivian rural highland communities, from a symbolic ritual perspective using an ethnographic approach. The episode, “The Fight for Peace” includes footage of tinku and airs Wednesday, October 18, on the National Geographic Channel.
