Dr. Robbie Ethridge wins Southern Anthropological Association’s 2011 Mooney Award

Dr. Robbie Ethridge, Professor of Anthropology, was recently honored
with the 2011 Mooney Award from the Southern Anthropological Society
for her book From Chicaza to Chickasaw.  According to the Southern
Anthropological Society website, the “purpose of the James Mooney
Award is to recognize and thereby encourage distinguished
anthropological scholarship on the South and Southerners.”  The
award includes a certificate of recognition, a monetary prize, free
exhibit space at the annual meetings of the Southern Anthropological
Society, and free advertising space for the winning book in Southern
Anthropologist. Congratulations, Dr. Ethridge!
